Design Science, Incorporated (DSI) was established in September, 1981 as a Philippine corporation. Its founder, Mr. Roberto S. Tenchavez, has led the company from its humble beginnings to the present. Today, the firm has a staff complement of over 200 professionals of various education and disciplines. A multi-faceted company, Design Science has been commissioned by the Philippine government, its allied agencies and private industries as a solutions and technical provider for various projects, notably, in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects for toll roads and expressways, among others. Since 1993, DSI has spawned into other successful commercial ventures by establishing corporations in cable television, telecommunications, high-end family restaurant chain and foundation construction.  In 2006, DSI entered into a corporate partnership with Dong-Il, a major Korean engineering company. Design Science - Dong Il Consortium Corporation aims to target Korean-funded projects in the Philippines. In July 2008, Design Science organized a new division, Powerboss Philippines, to embark on energy audit and power management service. With a view to introduce technical service in next-generation, computer-guided energy saving solutions in renewable energy, fixed speed motors and lighting, our trained engineers and architects are well positioned to proactively contribute to the government's move to lessen its dependence on fossil fuel, causing a heavy drain to its foreign currency reserves and its unabaited degradation of our environment. At Design Science Incorporated, we are going GREEN! In 2010, the firm was the second entity which was awarded an ESCO (Energy Service Contractor) licence by the Department of Energy.
